I thought it was crazy, there is no way!

During this week our team got to participate in many different ministries, its always so beautiful to see the way the Lord moves during the week. As a leader I was so blessed to watch the team grow this week in their relationships with the Lord. I was so blessed by this team and there willingness to try new things, even if it seemed a little crazy. Here are some of there thoughts on the trip and what the Lord did over this week.

” We did an ATL ( Ask the Lord). This was my first time and it changed my life a lot! My group of 5 each had a chance to lead and we got our first puzzle piece, which was that someone needed to be encouraged. Our second piece was that the person was an older woman (or man) who was tired of working but couldn’t stop. Our fourth leader started walking towards a woman who had been prayed for a week ago ( we didn’t know she was the woman at first). We prayed over her and told her to stay strong. I shared a bible verse, Psalm 32:7 with her as well. This felt so powerful and strong. I will never ever forget this for the rest of my life.”

” God worked through me when I saw a crippled homeless lady, dragging herself and asking for money. I watched her for five minutes, then I asked if we could give food to the homeless. Two girls and I grabbed granola bars and crackers and gave them to the homeless lady. Even though she didn’t have many teether, she opened the crackers and tarted to eat them and teared up a little bit. I told her that Jesus Loves her.”

” I came here not knowing if God was real or always there and going to the market showed me, He is real, always there for me and He loves me. This trip was awesome!”

” We did a VBS at the Guatemala city dump. It was great to see how excited the kids were to do the activities we had planned. There was one kid who was 15 that was there with his 2 year old brother. He was so in to the arts and crafts, and was so proud of his work when he was finished.”

” I went to an ATL and prayed a prayer of healing over a woman and it actually healed the woman.”

It was so awesome to see the Lord moving through even the little things this week. We got to do house visits at the Guatemala City dump where we saw a woman come to Christ, play with the kids at the cerebral palsy hospital, Love on the grandpas and grandmas, do a VBS, ATL in the market place, paint a school, and so much more. It was a beautiful week with a wonderful group. Are you interested in going on a trip like this? Check out Adventures.org for more information.
